The World's Largest Community of 3D Printed Houses is Being Built in Texas, USA

In Texas, USA, construction of the first of 100 homes with 'walls printed with concrete using a printer' is nearly complete. The single-story building has become the first in a new innovative micro-district, entirely constructed using 3D technology.
This was reported by CNN.
The 3D micro-district is just a part of a larger project named 'Wolf Ranch,' worked on by the Texas-based construction firm ICON, the company Lennar, and the Danish enterprise Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG).
The houses are created using giant 3D printers, 46 feet wide, which 'print' walls with a concrete mix called Lavacrete. After the foundation and main walls are ready, the house is fitted with doors, windows, and a roof equipped with solar panels.
According to ICON's spokesperson, Cari Calkins, some of the units were immediately purchased by potential customers during the presentation of these innovative 3D houses. Overall, the company reported that about a third of the world's first 3D technology micro-district homes already have owners.
The planning of the innovative houses includes three or four rooms, a kitchen, and a living room, with an area ranging from 1500 to 2100 square feet. One 3D house will cost you between $475,000 to $599,000.
Constructing buildings using 3D technology is one of the major technological trends of the last decade. This technology allows for unprecedented speed in construction, thus saving resources and reducing the negative impact on the environment.
Recently, in the Ukrainian city of Irpin, which was occupied by Russia and later liberated, the construction of the first 3D house has begun.
The house will be built for the widow of a Ukrainian soldier who died in battles with Russian occupiers in one of the hottest spots on the Ukrainian front - Bakhmut. At the beginning of the war, the suburb of Kyiv - the city of Irpin, was subjected to massive attacks from Russia. It was then that the house of Natalia, her husband, and two daughters was destroyed due to Russian shelling.
It is expected that the main works will be completed within 5 days, and in addition, the house will be equipped with a so-called 'safe room' with reinforced concrete walls, which can serve as a shelter.
Also, at the beginning of July, it was announced that the construction of the first 3D school in Europe has started in Lviv, Ukraine, where about 100 primary school students will study.
