Lithuania Launches Kyiv Office to Coordinate Reconstruction Projects
During his visit to Kyiv, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys officially opened the Office of the Lithuanian Central Project Management Agency in Ukraine, emphasizing the importance of Ukrainian-Lithuanian partnership and strengthening cooperation in reconstruction.
The Gaze reports on it, referring to Ukrinform.
According to Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, this is Budrys' fifth visit to Ukraine since his appointment, demonstrating the importance of the Ukrainian-Lithuanian partnership.
The new Office will coordinate all Lithuanian reconstruction projects, including those within the Civil Protection Shelter Coalition, which Lithuania recently joined.
Lithuania actively participated in the reconstruction of Ukraine in the summer of 2022, completing 10 projects and continuing the implementation of six others, including the construction of shelters for schools in six regions bordering the combat zone.
Moreover, Lithuania is one of the leaders in the reconstruction of Ukraine's energy sector, to which it has allocated more than €83 million.

In the field of security, Lithuania plans to provide Ukraine with military aid worth around €1 billion this year. The Lithuanian Foreign Minister stressed that the country continues to implement reconstruction and humanitarian support projects.
Kęstutis Budrys also emphasized the need to change Lithuania's strategy regarding security cooperation with Ukraine.
“We must fundamentally review what we are doing in cooperation with Ukraine in the field of security. There is agreement on this. It is not about further support for Ukraine in defending the continent, nor about providing the necessary resources. We must change the paradigm, the way we interact and cooperate with Ukraine,” said the Lithuanian Foreign Minister.
As The Gaze previously informed, the Lithuanian organization Blue/Yellow, dedicated to supporting Ukraine, raised €1 million as part of the Dronatonas campaign to purchase drones that will help Ukrainian soldiers on the front lines.
