Lithuania to Host NATO Eastern and Northern Flank Summit: Ukraine Support Among Topics

On 2 June, the capital of Lithuania, Vilnius, will host a summit of NATO's eastern and northern flank countries, at which President Volodymyr Zelenskyy plans to discuss further support for Ukraine.
The Gaze reports on this with reference to the Lithuanian president's website.
As noted, representatives of the ‘Bucharest Nine’ (Bulgaria, Hungary, Latvia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Estonia), the countries of Northern Europe (Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Finland, Sweden) and Ukraine will arrive in Lithuania.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte will also take part in the summit.
During the meeting, they will discuss issues of strengthening the security and defence of the Alliance's eastern flank, as well as preparations for the NATO summit, which will take place on 24-25 June in The Hague.
‘Further support for Ukraine is planned to be discussed with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy,’ the statement says.
As The Gaze reported earlier, Lithuania has delivered an official protest note to a representative of the Russian Embassy in Vilnius, condemning Russia's intensified war against Ukraine, particularly the killing of civilians and prisoners of war.
