Majority of EU Citizens Support Arms Supplies to Ukraine

The vast majority of EU citizens support the purchase and supply of military equipment to Ukraine.

Overall, the EU's response to Russia's war against Ukraine satisfies the majority of its citizens.
In particular, 80% of European respondents agree to accept people fleeing the war into the EU, and more than three-quarters of Europeans (76%) support providing financial and humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
72% of EU citizens support economic sanctions against the Russian government, companies and individuals, while six out of ten (60%) approve of granting Ukraine EU candidate status, and 59% agree that the EU should finance the purchase and supply of military equipment to Ukraine.
Russia's invasion of Ukraine continues to be considered the most important issue at the EU level (27%) out of 15 items (followed by the international situation (24%) and security and defence (20%).
77% of European respondents agree that Russia's invasion of Ukraine is a threat to EU security.
As The Gaze reported earlier, an overwhelming majority of Americans, including both Democratic and Republican voters, believe that the Donald Trump administration should continue military support for Ukraine.
According to another recent poll, nearly 60% of Americans believe that Donald Trump is not tough enough on Putin.
