NATO to Open Training and Experience Exchange Centre for Ukrainian Military in Poland

NATO defence ministers have decided to establish a training centre in Poland to train and improve the skills of Ukrainian military personnel and share experience with NATO troops. This was announced by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in Brussels at a press conference following a meeting of NATO defence ministers, Ukrinform reports.
"Today we have decided to establish a joint NATO-Ukraine training and military education centre in Bydgoszcz, Poland, which will allow Ukraine to share lessons learned from the Russian war and create a structure for Ukrainian forces to train and exercise alongside NATO forces. We will continue to stand by Ukraine - for its security and for our security," said the Allied Chief.
He noted that many details still need to be clarified, but the main thing is that the Allies have decided at the political level to establish a training centre. According to Stoltenberg, the initiative will be implemented over the coming months.
"So today's decision is part of this process. The training centre will allow us to share lessons learnt from the Russian war. This will be useful for us and will create a framework platform for training the troops of allied countries. Our experts are currently working out the details, and I expect that NATO leaders will be able to make a decision later this year," the NATO Secretary General said.
As reported, a meeting of NATO defence ministers took place in Brussels, during which a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council was held. Ukrainian Defence Minister Rustem Umerov took part in the event via teleconference.
