North Korea Supplied Russia with 12 Million 152mm Shells, Intelligence Reports

South Korean military intelligence agencies have reported that North Korea has supplied Russia with more than 12 million 152 mm calibre shells for use in the war against Ukraine.
The Gaze reports on this with reference to Yonhap.
According to a report by the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA), North Korea has provided Russia with approximately 28,000 containers of weapons and artillery shells.
‘If we count individual 152 mm calibre shells, (the number of shells supplied) is estimated to have reached over 12 million,’ the intelligence agency said in a statement.
Since October 2024, the DPRK has provided Russia with conventional weapons and about 13,000 military personnel to support Moscow's military efforts.
North Korea is likely to send additional troops to Russia in July or August, the Seoul spy agency reported in late June.
Russian media reported that North Korea will send 5,000 ‘military builders’ and 1,000 ‘sappers’ to Kursk, Russia, where the Ukrainian army is conducting its operation.
As The Gaze reported earlier, up to 40% of Russia's artillery ammunition used in its war against Ukraine now comes from North Korea, according to Ukrainian military intelligence, signalling an alarming deepening of defence ties between Moscow and Pyongyang.
