Poland to Establish Center to Integrate Ukraine’s Battlefield Experience

Poland is preparing to launch a national center dedicated to applying lessons learned from Ukraine’s battlefield experience.
The Gaze reports this, referring to PAP.
Speaking at a conference on naval capabilities and the protection of critical infrastructure in the Baltic Sea, Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said Warsaw aimed to deepen cooperation with Kyiv, particularly in the field of unmanned systems.
The minister recalled his visit to Kyiv last week, where he discussed with Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal the possible purchase of surface and underwater drones.
“Ukraine’s rapid development of the drone industry and its integration into the armed forces is remarkable. It deserves our recognition and adaptation. That is why we created the NATO-Ukraine Joint Training and Education Center within NATO structures to embed this knowledge at the Alliance level,” Kosiniak-Kamysz said.
He added that Poland would also move ahead with establishing a national center specifically focused on implementing Ukrainian operational experience.
At the same event, the minister announced that Poland had received six formal offers for the purchase of submarines, one of the most significant elements of the country’s military modernization.
“There are six offers submitted; initially there were seven, but now there are six, because the Koreans merged two of their proposals. There are offers from Italy, Spain, France, a joint German-Norwegian bid, as well as from Sweden and South Korea,” Kosiniak-Kamysz noted.
He emphasized that the final selection of a partner country would be made at the level of the Council of Ministers, under a strict timetable prepared with the Armaments Agency.
