Ukraine and Netherlands Sign Strategic Defense Partnership

Ukraine and the Netherlands have signed a Memorandum of strategic partnership in the field of defense technologies, aimed at supporting innovative developments and deepening cooperation between EU countries.
The Gaze reports on it, referring to Ukrinform.
The Memorandum of strategic partnership between defense initiatives was signed during the international defense and industrial forum in The Hague.
It brings together the Ukrainian initiative DefTechCluster and the Dutch Battlefield Resilience Foundation (BRF) and aims to support developers, manufacturers, and innovative teams in the field of defense and dual-use technologies, as well as to deepen cooperation between EU countries.
According to the provisions of the Memorandum, it is planned to assist companies in product certification and participation in defense procurement, search for international partners for the implementation of joint projects, testing of technologies directly on the front line, and obtaining feedback from the military.
At the same time, the preservation of sensitive data in Ukraine remains a priority, ensuring the effective use of information for the development of innovations.
According to DefTechCluster co-founder Maria Shelasheva, the partnership helps build bridges between Ukrainian teams and international partners, attract investment, and promote products in global markets.
BRF representatives also emphasize that the resilience and adaptability of technologies determine the outcome of modern conflicts, and cooperation with Ukrainian initiatives will contribute to the faster transformation of defense solutions.
“BRF's goal is to ensure that the best solutions not only reach the front lines but remain effective in rapidly changing conditions. Cooperation with DefTechCluster is a step towards even faster transformation of defense solutions,” said a member of the BRF board.
As The Gaze reported earlier, Ukraine has signed its first international research and development (R&D) partnership in the defense technology sector, teaming up with the Netherlands’ top research institute, the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research (TNO), to drive innovations that could reshape the battlefield.
