Poll: Americans’ Support for Ukraine Surges to 3-Year High

A new poll shows that most Americans favor greater US involvement in the war in Ukraine rather than reduced support.
The Gaze reports on it, referring to Fox News.
A Fox News poll conducted on September 6–9, 2025, by research companies Beacon Research (Democratic) and Shaw & Company Research (Republican) showed changes in American public opinion regarding the war in Ukraine, US policy, and the actions of President Donald Trump.
According to the results, 39% of respondents believe that the US should support Ukraine more actively, while 29% are in favor of reducing aid, and another 31% are convinced that the current level is sufficient.
These sentiments have remained largely unchanged since July, but contrast sharply with last year's, when the majority of respondents were in favor of reducing support (40% versus 23%).
The increase in support for aid to Ukraine occurred primarily among Democrats (+30 points) and Independents (+18 points).
At the same time, Republicans have become more convinced that current efforts are sufficient (+19 points). Meanwhile, Republicans have become more convinced that current efforts are sufficient (+19 points).
Amid these sentiments, President Donald Trump has recently attempted to mediate peace talks, communicating with Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelenskyy, but without concrete results.
His policy toward Ukraine is rated slightly better (40% approval) than his approach to Russia (36%), although most voters remain critical of both.
The overall approval rating for Trump's performance is currently 46%, while 54% express dissatisfaction.
As The Gaze informed earlier, most Americans approve of imposing sanctions on Russia's trading partners as a means of pressuring Moscow to end the war in Ukraine, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll.
