Romania Deploys Helicopter to Monitor Danube Border with Bulgaria as Part of Military Cooperation
From today, the border between Romania and Bulgaria will also be monitored from the air, after the border police in Giurgiu introduced the use of a helicopter.

The observation area is almost 450 kilometres along the Danube River. Supervision and control will be carried out jointly with the Bulgarian authorities.
Firstly, it will be used to monitor illegal crossings of our water border. In the future, it is also planned to use drones to further strengthen border control on the part of Romania.
The day before, the Bulgarian parliament ratified a memorandum of military cooperation with Romania. According to the document, the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Ministry of National Defence of Romania will establish a command headquarters for the regional component of special operations.
It is reported that the Regional Special Operations Component Command Headquarters will be able to command and control multinational Special Operations Forces (SOF) and NATO support and operations forces.
Earlier, it became known that Bulgaria will also help Ukraine in restoring telecommunications destroyed by the Russian army and will join the NATO mission to train the Ukrainian military.
