Russia Launches Massive Overnight Air Assault on Ukraine: Multiple Dead and Dozens Injured

Russia carried out a large-scale overnight aerial assault across Ukraine, striking multiple cities with drones and missiles and leaving dozens wounded and several dead, The Gaze reports.
The most severe damage was recorded in Kyiv, where at least four people were killed and 20 injured in the capital’s worst attack in recent weeks.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed that 16 victims required hospitalization following the barrage, which also sparked fires and caused significant structural damage in residential neighborhoods. Search and rescue operations are ongoing at several locations.
Meanwhile, in Lutsk, a combined drone and missile strike hit a residential apartment building, injuring five people and shattering windows in neighboring structures. Authorities have evacuated the residents, and no fatalities have been reported.
Ternopil also came under attack, where the number of those injured rose to ten, including five emergency responders who were hurt during the aftermath. The local administration confirmed that air pollution levels increased in parts of the city due to the strike.
Further west, in the Lviv region, drones and cruise missiles struck an industrial site in the Drohobych district. While no casualties were reported, the blast caused temporary power outages in several villages. Emergency teams are working to restore the electricity supply.
In the Poltava region, Russian forces targeted administrative and industrial infrastructure in the Kremenchuk area. The attack damaged warehouses, public buildings, and a local cafe. Three civilians were wounded, one of whom remains hospitalized in moderate condition.
Throughout the night, air raid sirens sounded across all regions of Ukraine as Russia launched one of its most coordinated and widespread air attacks in months. Ukrainian air defense systems intercepted some of the incoming threats, but the scale of the assault overwhelmed several urban centers.
