Russian General Blown Up near Moscow

On the morning of 25 April, a car exploded in the town of Balashikha, which borders the Russian capital Moscow, killing a lieutenant general of the Russian Defence Ministry.
The Gaze reports on this with reference to the BBC.
According to the Russian side, the explosion killed Lieutenant General Yaroslav Moskalik, deputy head of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces.
The explosion was caused by an improvised explosive device.
A Volkswagen Golf parked in the yard of a residential building exploded when a Russian military man was passing by. The explosion threw the general several metres away.
The department where Moskalik worked is reported to be the main link in the planning of military operations in Ukraine.
The explosives consisted of under-barrel grenade launcher rounds. They were installed throughout the car. The fragments were flying about 300 metres during the explosion.
