Shock and Surprise: Winners Announced at 82nd Golden Globe Awards
9The 82nd Golden Globe Awards ceremony, which traditionally kicks off the film awards season, took place in Los Angeles. It was reported by The Guardian.
This year's event, which took place on the night of 6 January, was hosted by American comedian Nikki Glaser, known for her stand-up performances, roles in the films Trainwreck and I Feel Pretty, as well as her participation in the reality show Blind Date.
The main winner among the films was Jacques Audiard's musical Emilia Perez, which won four awards, including Best Musical or Comedy, Best Foreign Language Film, as well as Best Supporting Actress and Best Original Song.
Brady Corbett's drama The Brutalist won three Golden Globes in the categories of Best Drama Film, Best Director and Best Male Actor in Drama Film. Among television projects, the Shogun series was the leader in terms of the number of awards, with four.
