Spain transfers 20 armored personnel carriers and a field hospital to Ukraine

During the Ramstein meeting of defense ministers, Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles stated the need for further support for Ukraine and announced a new aid package.
This is reported by the Spanish Ministry of Defense.
"Ukraine is defending a just cause and therefore has our full support, not only in sending materials, but also in training Ukrainian fighters. Spain's position, like all NATO and European Union countries, is clear and resolute in its support. Our commitment is complete and absolute," the Minister said.
Spain announced the transfer of 20 armored personnel carriers to the Ukrainian military, which will arrive in Poland on June 19 for further transportation to Ukraine. Earlier, another 40 armored vehicles were delivered. Spain has also provided for the repair of 4 2A4 Leopard battle tanks.
At the same time, Ukrainian military medics are being provided with a Role 2+ field hospital that can meet the needs of a separate brigade. Equipped with key stabilization, laboratory and medical instruments, the hospital is ready to provide emergency surgical care in the combat zone and can be rapidly deployed in twelve containers. Spain is planning to conduct additional training for Ukrainian doctors before the transfer.
"Our commitment to support Ukraine in its search for a comprehensive, just and lasting peace will remain firm as long as it is necessary," Robles emphasized.
As reported by The Gaze, in early June, Germany also announced the delivery of an additional 20 Marder infantry fighting vehicles to arrive at the Ukrainian front by the end of July. Earlier, Kyiv had already received 40 vehicles of this type.
Also, the German government's website has recently reported that Germany has handed over two Wisent 1 tanks to Ukraine for demining. Ukraine received the previous two tanks of this modification back in March.
In total, last week, Germany handed over two tractors and two semi-trailers to Kyiv, along with 16 Zetros trucks and 300,000 first aid kits.
This aid will support the Ukrainian military in its fight against the Russian army, which occupied a large part of Ukraine's territory during the unprovoked war of aggression that began in February 2022. Recently, Ukraine announced the liberation of several settlements in the eastern part of the country.
