Ukrainian Wins Gold at European Modern Pentathlon Championship

Ukrainian athlete Yuriy Kovalchuk won the European Modern Pentathlon Championships in Madrid, Spain.

The champion's winning score was 1588 points.
The silver medal at the 2025 European Championships went to Mihaly Koleszar from Hungary, and the bronze to Jean-Baptiste Mourcia from France.
For the second year in a row, Ukrainians have climbed to the top of the podium in the individual competition at the continental championships. Last year, pentathlete Oleksandr Tovkay became the European champion.
