Sweden to Provide New Aid Package for Ukraine's Cybersecurity

The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) is allocating a new aid package worth 590 million hryvnia to Ukraine under the Tallinn Mechanism, an international initiative that coordinates assistance from 11 partner countries in strengthening cyber resilience.
The Gaze reports on this with reference to the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
It is noted that the funds will be used to upgrade IT infrastructure, strengthen the protection of digital products, and train employees of key state institutions.
According to the ministry, in 2024 alone, more than 2,000 cyberattacks were carried out on the public sector and state bodies.
‘Thanks to Sida's support, we will implement projects to ensure that the digital state works smoothly and that Ukrainians can use online services under any conditions,’ the Ministry of Digital Transformation emphasised.
Sida's funding will come through ESTDEV, an Estonian government fund responsible for managing and implementing international development and humanitarian aid projects.
As The Gaze reported earlier, in a continued show of support for Ukraine's pursuit of justice, Sweden has allocated €2.27 million to help modernise the Office of the Prosecutor General's case management system.
