The most powerful Android smartphone in history costs less than $500

Vivo Company has introduced the flagship smartphone IQOO Neo 8 Pro for the Chinese market. Today, it is the most powerful Android in the world: the device scores 1.36 million points in the AnTuTu benchmark.

The new product is the world's first smartphone based on the new Dimensity 9200+ processor, which is more powerful than Qualcomm's flagship processor. Before that, the most powerful Android smartphone was ASUS ROG Phone 7.
The main technical characteristics are as follows:
- 6.78" display, AMOLED, 144 Hz;
- MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ processor;
- 16 + 512 GB of memory;
- 5000 mAh battery, 120 W fast charging;
- OriginOS 3 based on Android 13.
In terms of photographic capabilities, the new product has a dual-camera system consisting of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX866VCS main sensor with optical stabilization and 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle module. Selfie camera - 16 megapixels.
Other features include an improved liquid cooling system, screen pressure recognition technology, and the Multi-Turbo software "enhancer" which optimizes many aspects of the smartphone using AI.
Price of iQOO Neo 8 Pro in China:
- iQOO Neo 8 Pro 16 + 256 GB - 3299 CNY (~17,200 UAH);
- iQOO Neo 8 Pro 16 + 512 GB - 3699 CNY (~19,200 UAH).
The sales will start on May 30. The phone is unlikely to reach Ukraine, but soon it will probably be available on marketplaces like AliExpress.

Also, according to experts, sales of foldable smartphones have been falling for the second quarter in a row in the world. Thus, in the first quarter of 2023, only 2.1 million of such devices were sold.
For comparison, in the fourth quarter of 2022, more than 3 million foldable smartphones were sold. In the third quarter of 2022, more than 6 million of them were sold!
Samsung was particularly affected. The Company's share fell from almost 100% to only 45%. Two companies, Oppo and Huawei, are in second place in terms of sales of foldable phones. Other manufacturers are not yet able to compete with these giants.
