The Slovak Taxi Booking Service HOPIN Launched in Kyiv
The service for ordering taxis called HOPIN has started operating in the capital of Ukraine. This is the company's second attempt to enter the Ukrainian market. In 2016, the service was already launched in Kyiv and planned further expansion to Kharkiv, Lviv, and Odesa. However, it quickly shifted its focus to business cooperation (B2B), gradually discontinuing private transportation, according to AIN.
Currently, this Slovak service operates not only in Kyiv but also in Lviv and Chernihiv in Ukraine, as well as in cities like Prague and Ostrava in the Czech Republic, and Bratislava and Košice in Slovakia.
In Kyiv, HOPIN offers three tariff options:
- Limo: premium rides in comfortable cars.
- Easy: regular daily rides at a predetermined price.
- Comfort: rides priced according to the meter in the app.
Payment can be made through various methods, including cash, card, electronic wallet within the app, promotional codes, and special offers for corporate clients. HOPIN also provides a 30% discount on the first two rides for new passengers using the promo code WELCOMEKYIV.
In addition to ordering regular taxis, HOPIN offers several additional features:
- Choosing any available car on the map and specifically ordering it.
- Planning trips for a specific time.
- Trips with multiple intermediate stops.
- Ordering multiple cars simultaneously without additional charges.
- Express delivery of small packages within the city.
- Pet transportation.
- Quiet taxis.
- Driver service.
- Rides for passengers with luggage.
- Non-smoking rides.
In HOPIN, the driver does not see the passenger's number and cannot contact them by phone. However, passengers can make calls or communicate with the driver through the in-app chat.
The app allows passengers to track the route of the trip in real-time, share this information with friends for added safety. After confirming the order with the driver, the passenger receives information and a photo of the car, can track the movement of the taxi online, and receive notifications about the estimated arrival time. After the trip, there is an option to rate the driver, add them to the favorite driver list, and leave tips when making cashless payments. If a passenger gives a 1-star rating, the driver is added to a personal blacklist and will no longer receive orders from that passenger.
