How can you turn a regular Škoda into a rally monster? How can you find a break in a car's electrical circuit? How do advanced drivers drift, and how do beginners park? How can you easily import a sports supercar from the USA or Canada? Or even become a motorcycle ninja? The best automotive bloggers in Eastern Europe passionately share their insights on these and many other topics.

Every man should do at least three things in his life: organize his garage perfectly, tune his car, and subscribe to one of these Ukrainian, Polish, Czech, or Romanian automotive bloggers. Trust me – they are worth it.

Nightride

How does it usually go for those who love racing around bends? In childhood, it's a tricycle; in teenage years, a skateboard; later, a moped or scooter; and eventually, after landing a good job, a somewhat sporty car. But ultimately, every drifter comes to the one right conclusion: there's nothing better for night city races than quality Japanese engines. Polish automotive enthusiasts from the NIGHTRIDE channel love high-speed evening parties after sunset and invite everyone who loves drifting to join their gang of nearly a million subscribers.

Mikhail Avtoinstruktor

Some polish their drifting technique, while others just want to understand how to use the turn signals properly, start uphill smoothly, downshift without "jerking," or even simply park in the garage without any incidents. Everyone has their own level of automotive literacy, so if you're just starting to take your first steps in driving, let Ukrainian instructor Mykhailo guide you. Gas and brake, parking, gearbox, clutch, roundabouts, icy roads – everything that makes a novice driver's palms sweat seems not so scary when a true professional is providing the lessons.

CoastaDeEst

Men usually love spending time with beautiful women or in the garage. If the first is unavailable, they watch porn; if the second is unavailable, they watch YouTube channels about the everyday life of repair shops. Sure, no video can replace being in a real garage with its cozy smells of dampness, gasoline, and grease, the pleasant textures of tools, and the almost musical echoes from the bare cement walls after a wrench falls to the floor. But what can you do? Until you have your own garage, you have to watch others enjoy theirs. A great option is the channel of Romanian car masters CoastaDeEst.

LucZyn

While the legendary "Hell's Angels" were always something countercultural, anarchistic, and bandit-like, modern Polish motorsport enthusiasts in their helmets and motorcycle gear resemble ninjas. For them, the two-wheeled steed is less a way to brightly oppose society and more a tool for seeking sports adventures, new friends, and active fun. Naked women in cornfields on the roadside, corpses of unknown men on the roads, and of course, many feeble old men and women crossing the road as if they were immortal – motorcycle journeys are never boring. The main Polish motorcycle channel, LucZyn, is a vivid proof of this.

Eugene Irimia

Modern cars are increasingly transforming from a collection of various mechanisms into a collection of all kinds of electrical devices. In such cases, finding a short circuit or a break in the circuit can turn into a real repair shop detective story, while upgrading the multimedia system can become akin to creating a high-quality automotive studio. Car diagnostician and repairman Eugene Irimia knows everything about their electrical equipment and eagerly shares his experience. However, the war has made its own adjustments – today, the Ukrainian car master sometimes has to delve not only into the pristine innards of a used Japanese Toyota but also into the bloody remains of a downed Iranian Shahed-136 drone, with which Russia has been terrorizing peaceful Ukrainian cities for the third year in a row.

Sasha The Owner

If you love premium supercar brands and luxury tuning, then the Sasha The Owner channel by Polish automotive blogger Emil is the place to go. He has long and passionately collected Ford Mustangs, Lamborghini Aventadors, Dodge Vipers, Camaro Exorcists, Nissan GT-Rs, and various other drool-worthy cars from around the world – repairing, improving, and modifying them, sometimes to sell for crazy money, and sometimes to keep in his collection. Such is life: some collect candy wrappers, and some collect sports cars worth $50,000, $100,000, $300,000, and more.

Bez Komprese

Czech Robin Valeš started his car repair channel in his personal small garage after being prohibited from blogging at his job in a large repair shop. Eventually, this channel shot to fame thanks to a two-year series about creating a unique rally car, the Škoda 130 LR, which Valeš and his team named Vilík. So, if you are a fan of Czech automotive engineering and dream of building a race car for participation in brutal, manly rallies with your own hands, then Bez Komprese is the channel for you.

Duster Cool Travels

Can a man in love with his car, as if it were a woman, thank it for all the emotions he gets from reliable and comfortable rides better than by dedicating an entire YouTube channel to it? One Romanian, who is the proud owner of a 2018 Dacia Duster, decided to do just that. Essentially, the Duster Cool Travels channel is a multi-episode visual ode to a car that provides its driver with countless off-road and travel adventures. How great would it be if there were such a detailed and fascinating YouTube channel not just about the Dacia Duster, but about every car in the world?

Marek Drives

What happens if you don't understand cars at all – which ones are good and which are not? In that case, there is a risk (at least if you have a Russian passport) that your relatives will send you off to war against Ukraine, secretly hoping that if you die there (as is most likely), the happy Russian family will receive compensation from the state in the form of a brand-new Lada Kalina. After the first ride, they will, of course, realize that they traded a relative for a pile of scrap metal, but it will be too late. To avoid becoming as ignorant about cars as a typical family from a depressive Russian backwater, you need to regularly educate yourself, for example, through expert reviews on YouTube. The popular Polish channel Marek Drives is useful for this. Here, you'll get detailed information about cars, motorcycles, and electric vehicles.

2 HP (2 Horsepower)

Before the full-scale invasion, Ukrainian journalist Raul Chilachava was a tester of new automotive industry products on the channel 2 Horsepower. However, when the Russians approached Kyiv in February 2022, he took off his microphone clip and put on a military uniform, joining the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Raul later resumed his blogging activities but requalified from an auto expert to the host of the sarcastic show "Ukraine on Fire," where he sometimes alone and sometimes with Kyiv poet Maksym Shcherbakov – mocks the criminal, absurd, and inhumane aggression of Russia against Ukraine. Nevertheless, all the old car videos on Raul's channel remain relevant. Moreover, albeit rarely, he still occasionally tests some interesting four-wheeled treats. After all, war is no reason to love cars any less.
