Trump Assures No US Troops Will Be Sent to Ukraine

US President Donald Trump said that as president, he would not authorise the deployment of American troops to Ukraine.
The Gaze reports on it, referring to Sky News.
On Fox News, in response to a question about the prospects for security guarantees, Trump said that European countries would play a leading role.
‘They want to have troops on the ground,’ he said, referring to France, Germany and the United Kingdom. ‘I don't think that will be a problem,’ Trump added.
When asked if he could guarantee that there would be no American troops in Ukraine, Trump replied: ‘You have my guarantee, and I am the president.’
‘I'm just trying to stop people from being killed,’ Trump also said.
French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer believe that the most important outcome of the White House talks was the US's willingness to work on security guarantees for Ukraine.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will head a working group of national security advisers and NATO representatives that will develop a draft security guarantee for Ukraine.
