Trump States He Will Not Conclude Peace Deal with Putin at Alaska Meeting
US President Donald Trump said that during his meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Alaska, he would not sign an agreement to end the war in Ukraine.

Responding to questions from journalists at the White House, Trump stressed that the agreement should be signed only by two parties — Ukraine and Russia.
The American leader also added that Putin should focus on the development of his country, as the Russian economy is currently performing poorly.
Trump noted that the meeting in Alaska could be the start of negotiations, but further rounds at the highest level are also possible.
"It's really a trial meeting, to some extent. Putin invited me to participate. I think, and I believe, he wants to get this over with as soon as possible. I've said this several times. And I was disappointed because I had what seemed to be a wonderful phone conversation with him, and then missiles were launched at Kyiv or somewhere else, and 60 people were lying on the road and dying. This is certainly the worst thing that has happened since World War II. So I'm going to talk to Vladimir Putin. And I'm going to tell him, ‘You have to end this war. You have to end it,’ Trump said.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump said that his meeting with Putin would take place on 15 August in the US state of Alaska.
As The Gaze reported earlier, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said on Sunday that any agreement between Washington and Moscow to end the war in Ukraine must include Ukraine and the European Union.
