Trump Warns Medvedev: ‘Entering Very Dangerous Territory’

U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a sharp warning to Dmitry Medvedev, Russia’s former president and current deputy chair of the Russian Security Council, escalating an already tense war of words between Washington and Moscow, The Gaze reports.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said:
“Tell Medvedev, the failed former President of Russia, who thinks he’s still President, to watch his words. He’s entering very dangerous territory!”
The remark came in response to Medvedev’s criticism of Trump’s recent ultimatum to Vladimir Putin, in which the U.S. president threatened new sanctions within 10 days unless the Kremlin agrees to a peace deal.
Medvedev had earlier responded with a warning of his own, saying:
“Each new ultimatum is a threat and a step towards war. Not between Russia and Ukraine, but with his own country. Don’t go down the Sleepy Joe road!”
Trump dismissed the criticism, describing Medvedev as irrelevant and also distancing himself from any future economic ties with Russia. He added:
“They can take their dead economies down together,” referring to both Russia and its strategic partner India.
The exchange comes amid reports of faltering diplomatic contacts between Washington and Moscow. The Kremlin admitted this week that progress toward normalizing relations had slowed.
As The Gaze previously reported, U.S. President Donald Trump has given Russia a 10-day deadline, starting Tuesday, to end its military offensive against Ukraine or face sweeping economic retaliation, including new tariffs and other punitive measures.
Kremlin officials, on the other hand, have firmly rejected the new deadline and have confirmed Moscow's interest in continuing the war.
