Ukraine Begin Production of Long-Range Strike Drones with 1,000-Kilometre Range

Ukraine has managed to develop and start serial production of its own long-range strike drones within a relatively short period of time.
This was stated by the Director General of Ukroboronprom, Herman Smetanin, in an interview with ArmyInform, as reported by Ukrinform.
According to the head of Ukroboronprom, Ukrainian drones are now striking strategic enemy targets at a distance of over 1,000 kilometres.
He also reminded that Ukraine has already successfully launched the mass production of FPV drones.
"A significant contribution was made by our enterprises, which established close cooperation with private companies and helped them scale up production," Smetanin said.
He also emphasised that the enemy should not be underestimated.
"We have become more nonlinear and innovative. Russia has vast resources and a powerful industry, so blindly copying its approach makes no sense. We are forced to be more flexible and inventive. At one time, David realised that fighting Goliath using Goliath's own methods was a bad idea. In the end, he chose the weapon that could bring victory and skillfully used it," Smetanin noted.
As previously reported, serial production of FPV drones with self-guidance has begun in Ukraine. They use a thermal imaging camera to identify targets.
