Ukraine Extends Martial Law

On 15 July, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved the extension of martial law and general mobilisation for another 90 days, until 5 November 2025.
The Gaze reports on it, referring to MPs Yaroslav Zheleznyak and Iryna Gerashchenko from the parliament chamber.
The decision on martial law was supported by 320 parliamentarians, with one against.
The extension of mobilisation was supported by 304 MPs.
The decisions will take effect on 7 August and will remain in force for 90 days, i.e. until 5 November 2025.
This is the sixteenth such extension since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
As The Gaze reported earlier, in total, since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia's losses in the war have reached over 1 million soldiers killed and wounded.
