Ukraine Wins Silver and Bronze at Diving World Cup Super Final

The first competitive day of the World Diving Super Final in Beijing ended with bronze and silver medals for Ukrainian athletes.

The Ukrainian diving team qualified for the Super Final in five disciplines. Ukrainian tandems have already competed in China in synchronised diving from the 3-metre springboard among men and from the 10-metre tower among women and men.
In particular, Oleksiy Sereda and Mark Hrytsenko won bronze in the 10m platform jump.
Ukraine was represented by four athletes in the mixed team 3m springboard and 10m tower events: Oleksiy Sereda, Kyrylo Bolyukh, Ksenia Bailo and Sofia Lyskun.
In the mixed team event, Ukraine entered the podium after the first round. Ukrainians Bailo and Bolyukh performed individual jumps, earning a total of 141.10 points and taking intermediate third place.
After the synchronised 3-metre springboard jump by Sereda and Lyskun, Ukraine moved up to second place with a score of 201.30 points.
In the third round of jumps, Lyskun added 63 points to the team's total, and Sereda added 81 more, so the Ukrainians retained second place in the standings.
Ukraine's total score after the last, fourth round was 423.70 points. With this result, Ukraine won the silver medal, 83.50 points behind China, which won the competition.
