Ukraine has won two silver medals in the 2025 season at the World Cup in Artistic Swimming in Soma Bay, Egypt.

The Gaze reports on this with reference to Suspilne Sport.

The first medal of the season was won by 17-year-old Daria Moshynska. She received a total score of 234.3666 points for her performance. Despite the fact that the Ukrainian's program had only the eighth highest difficulty among all the participants (29.3000), she had the third highest score in artistry (99.6500) and the second highest in execution (134.1766).

As a result of the performances of all the artistic swimmers, Moshynska was second only to German Klara Bleyer, a 5-time medalist at the World Cup in artistic swimming. At the same time, the Ukrainian was almost 1.8 points ahead of the “neutral” Vasilina Khandoshka in the fight for silver.

In the solo program, Moshynska became the only representative of Ukraine. The artistic swimmer made her adult debut at the age of 14 at the 2022 World Championships in Budapest, where she won two gold medals in the team (combined and highlights).

So, this is the part where the biggest needs, if we understand correctly, where the biggest needs for the supply of European materials are really air defense and ammunition. So, this will be the concentration of this new tranche of money,” the ambassador emphasized.

The Ukrainian duo of Daria Moshinska and Anastasia Shmonina won the second medal. The Ukrainian duo received a total score of 261.6125 points for their performance: 115.4000 for artistry and 146.2125 for performance.

Both duet scores are the third highest among all the participants of the World Cup stage, but due to the difficulty (30.6000 points) Moshynska and Shmonina were able to outrun their closest pursuers from Canada, Audrey Lamothe and Jimena Ortiz Montano, in the fight for second place. The Ukrainian duo was separated from the winners of the stage, the “neutral” Maria Doroshko and Tatyana Gaidai, by 6.4426 points.

Ukraine will also be represented in the free skate program: Ulyana and Maria Hrynishyn will take part in the final on Saturday, April 12, at 11:00 Kyiv time.
