Ukraine's National Team Wins World Combat Jiu-Jitsu Championship
The Ukrainian wrestling team has won the World Combat Jiu-Jitsu Championships in Poland, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine reports on social media.
783 fighters from 38 countries competed at the world championship in the Polish city of Mikolów. 105 of them represented Ukraine and won a total of 274 medals. The second team place went to Kazakhstan, and the third to Poland.
Ukrainians won 99 gold medals, 82 silver medals and 93 bronze medals.
Number of awards for Ukrainian athletes in age categories:
Adults: 20 gold, 20 silver and 40 bronze medals.
Juniors: 20 gold, 20 silver and 17 bronze medals.
Boys: 59 gold, 42 silver and 36 bronze medals.
