Ukraine and Poland Coordinate New Military Aid Packages

Foreign Ministers of Ukraine and Poland Andrii Sybiha and Radosław Sikorski discussed the implementation and preparation of the next packages of military assistance from Poland to Ukraine, The Gaze reports, citing Ukrinform.
The diplomatic representatives met at a joint press conference at the Polish minister's residence in Chobielin, northern Poland, on August 1 to discuss the continuation of military cooperation between the two countries.
“We discussed the implementation of the 47th military assistance package and the current work on the 48th and 49th packages, which are particularly important for Ukraine, as they will provide significant support to the defense capabilities of our neighbor this year," Sikorsky emphasized, adding that he would not disclose details about these packages publicly.
Poland welcomed the positive reaction of its partners, in particular the United States, to its calls for maintaining and strengthening military assistance to Ukraine, and noted Donald Trump's decision to renew support after the incident with the Polish consulate in Kyiv.
“I deeply believe that Poland will always support a free and independent Ukraine, and I am glad that President Zelensky's conversation with our newly elected president confirmed this,” the Polish Vice Prime Minister noted.
Sikorski also emphasized the national consensus in Poland to support Ukraine, stressing that it is in the interests of both countries, as a free Ukraine guarantees Poland's security.
He thanked the Armed Forces for protecting Ukraine, Poland, and Europe “from the barbaric hordes that have already brought fire and terror to the Polish nation in the past, and now Ukraine is experiencing it.”
As The Gaze reported earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held his first official conversation with newly elected Polish President Karol Nawrocki, marking an important step in the development of bilateral relations.
