Ukrainian Arms Producer Enters Global Top 50 Defense Companies in 2025 Ranking

The Ukrainian state-owned concern UkrOboronProm continues to strengthen its position in the global arms market, climbing to 49th place in the annual TOP 100 Defense Companies 2025 ranking published by Defense News.
The Gaze reports on this, referring to a post by German Smetanin, General Director of Ukroboronprom, on Telegram.
In 2024, UkrOboronProm's defense revenue exceeded $3 billion, which is 36.3% more than in 2023 and significantly ahead of the global average growth rate among the TOP 100 defense companies (11.2%).
Importantly, the company ranked 16th in the world in terms of growth in revenue from the sale of defense products.
“Thus, Ukraine is becoming a key player in the global defense industry,” Smetanin noted.
Lockheed Martin ($68.4 billion), RTX ($43.5 billion), and CASIC ($38.7 billion) remain the leaders in terms of revenue. Among the companies with the highest growth rates are Anduril (+138%), Askeri Fabrika (+100%), SES (+93.7%), and NORINCO (+93.6%).
The 2025 ranking also saw the emergence of newcomers such as GE Aerospace, MBDA, SpaceX, Palantir Technologies, and others that were not previously among the top 100 manufacturers.
According to the head of UkrOboronProm, these results are the fruit of the labor of more than 56,000 employees.
At the same time, he stressed that in order to provide the Ukrainian army with modern equipment and weapons, production needs to be increased every day.
”However, we all understand that this is still not enough. So every day we are working to increase the production of weapons and military equipment for the Ukrainian army,” Smetanin concluded.
As The Gaze previously informed, Ukraine’s state-owned defense holding Ukrainian Defense Industry has partnered with U.S.-based D&M Holding Company to establish a joint venture for the production of specialized chemicals used in ammunition manufacturing.
