Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Showcased in Japan: Exhibition Opens in Nagoya

On September 2, the final location of the traveling exhibition “Cultural Heritage of Ukraine – Connection with the World” opened in Nagoya, Japan, continuing the successful series of presentations of Ukrainian culture.
The Gaze reports on it, referring to the Embassy of Ukraine in Japan on Facebook.
The exhibition presents valuable artifacts from the collection of the Embassy of Ukraine in Japan and private collections, demonstrating the richness of Ukrainian cultural heritage. The exhibition has already been successful in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kobe, which indicates the Japanese audience's significant interest in Ukrainian culture.
As part of the exhibition, visitors can attend master classes in traditional Ukrainian arts, including pysanka (Easter egg) painting, Petrykivka painting, and motanka doll making, allowing them not only to view the exhibits but also to gain practical experience with Ukrainian traditions.
A special event at the opening was a performance by Oksana Stepanuk, who created an unforgettable festive atmosphere with her unmatched technique and voice. She is known not only for her numerous concerts throughout Japan, but also as an active ambassador of Ukrainian culture.
The exhibition was made possible thanks to the joint efforts of the Embassy of Ukraine in Japan, the city of Nagoya, and the cooperation of the Japanese Ukrainian Culture Association NPO JUCA and Ukraine House Japan.
The exhibition will run until September 14, offering visitors a unique opportunity to learn about the cultural wealth of Ukraine.
As The Gaze reported earlier, the Japanese company Nojima Corporation will provide 200 million yen for the projects of the Olena Zelenska Foundation to support Ukrainian children.
