Ukrainian Delegation Visits Lithuanian Ministry of Defense to Enhance Military Cooperation

A delegation from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted a working visit to the Lithuanian Ministry of National Defense as part of NATO's DEEP-Ukraine military education enhancement program.
The Gaze reports on this with reference to the Defence Ministry.
During the visit, Ukrainian officials held discussions with representatives from the Lithuanian Military Ordinariate, which supports the activities of military chaplains in the Lithuanian Armed Forces.
Further discussions took place with officials from various divisions within Lithuania’s Ministry of Defence. Topics included military-patriotic education, psychological and moral support for personnel, strategic communications, and ensuring equal rights and opportunities for both women and men in the military.
The Ukrainian delegation also visited the Lithuanian Land Forces Command, where both sides shared valuable insights into the implementation of key defense policy areas at both tactical and operational levels.
A significant portion of the visit was dedicated to analyzing Lithuania’s strategic and regulatory documents as a NATO member state, which outline approaches to organizing relevant areas of defense activity. This exchange of knowledge is expected to enhance Ukraine’s existing methodologies, programs, and initiatives related to gender equality, psychological and moral support, and military-patriotic education in the defense sector.
The Lithuanian side highly appreciated Ukraine’s experience gained through its three-year resistance to large-scale aggression, emphasizing the value of Ukraine’s expertise in areas such as moral-psychological support, gender equality, military-patriotic education, and strategic communications. These practices are considered highly beneficial for NATO member states, offering effective methods for strengthening defense capabilities and improving the resilience of their personnel.
As The Gaze reported earlier, on April 21, Ukraine received another delivery of equipment from the IT Coalition, funded by Luxembourg and Iceland. Its total value is almost €2 million.
