Ukrainian Exhibition ‘Repeat After Me II’ with Sounds of Shells to Be Presented in Poland
In two weeks, the Ukrainian exhibition ‘Repeat After Me II’ will be presented in Poland, which transmits the sounds of weapons and raises the topic of unforgettable experiences. This was said by the Minister of Culture of Poland Anna Vrublevska, Ukrinform reports.
‘In two weeks, Poland will host the Repeat After Me II exhibition, created by a group of Ukrainians. In it, they reproduce the sounds of shells, weapons, speak to the audience... Through hearing, through voice memory, we create culture and preserve the memory of what cannot be forgotten,’ Vrublevska said.
She recalled that this exhibition was previously shown in Venice.
‘Repeat After Me II’ is an audiovisual installation that forms a collective portrait of the witnesses of the war in Ukraine. It consists of two video works created in 2022 and 2024. The project involves civilian refugees who talk about the war, reproducing the sounds of weapons that are engraved in their memory, and then invite the audience to repeat them.
