Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has arrived on an official visit to India. The working trip will last for two days, with its main purpose being to invigorate relations between the countries, as announced by Dmytro Kuleba on Twitter.

"I started my visit to New Delhi at the invitation of Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar. Ukrainian-Indian cooperation is crucial, and we will invigorate our ties," wrote Dmytro Kuleba.

It's worth noting that this is the first visit of a Ukrainian Foreign Minister to India since 2017. Among the objectives of the visit is the implementation of agreed plans between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, preparation for the first Global Peace Summit in Switzerland, the development of Ukrainian-Indian bilateral relations, trade, and international cooperation.

In New Delhi, Kuleba will hold a series of bilateral negotiations and will also attend a meeting of the Ukrainian-Indian Intergovernmental Commission on trade, economic, scientific, technical, industrial, and cultural cooperation. The Ukrainian Foreign Minister will also hold meetings with non-governmental organizations, analytical centres, and Indian journalists.

Ahead of Kuleba's visit to India, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had a phone conversation with the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi. During the conversation, Zelensky expressed gratitude to the Indian Prime Minister for supporting Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as expressed hope for further humanitarian assistance.

"Ukraine is interested in strengthening trade and economic relations with India, particularly in agricultural exports, cooperation in the aviation sector, and trade in pharmaceutical and industrial products. Ukraine also welcomes the return of Indian students to Ukrainian educational institutions," noted Volodymyr Zelensky.

In turn, Narendra Modi mentioned that the call discussed the enhancement of partnership between the two countries. He assured that India will continue to provide humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.

The politicians also discussed the development of bilateral relations, one of the elements of which is to be a meeting of delegations and a session of the Intergovernmental Commission on cooperation in Delhi.
