Ukrainian Hackers Breach Crimean Servers, Expose Russian War Crimes

Hackers from the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine (HUR) carried out a large-scale cyber operation against the occupying authorities in Crimea, obtaining evidence of war crimes committed by the Russian Federation, including the abduction of Ukrainian children and lists of Russian military personnel.
The Gaze reports on it, referring to Militarnyi.
As a result, Ukrainian intelligence managed to obtain more than 100 terabytes of data, including official correspondence of the so-called “head of Crimea” Sergey Aksyonov, correspondence between ‘“ministries” and services, as well as working documents of the occupying ‘“government”.
Among the most important materials were documents on the illegal transfer of Ukrainian children from the occupied territories to Crimea and Russia. Ukrainian hackers obtained lists of minors, their personal data, information about their guardians, and their places of residence or study.
This information has already been handed over to law enforcement agencies for investigation of war crimes committed by the Russian Federation.
In addition, personal data of Russian military personnel and their family members, lists of the dead and imprisoned, as well as documents on compensation payments and land allocations for participants in the invasion, were obtained.
Some of the official correspondence also confirms the shortage of fuel after Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil refineries.
This is the second successful penetration by the HUR into the internal systems of the occupying authorities in Crimea in recent months. The Gaze previously informed that Ukrainian hackers also struck the resources of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation, carrying out a large-scale DDoS attack on September 14. As a result of this cyberattack, online voting during the illegal “elections” in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine was paralyzed.
As The Gaze reported earlier, the cyber corps of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine carried out a large-scale operation against Russia's critical infrastructure, blocking fuel cards, attacking the aggressor's telecommunications and online services, and causing significant economic losses.
