Ukrainian President: With Each Day of the Kursk Operation, We Prove to the World That Russia Can Lose This War

Ukraine's defence forces are increasing their strength in the Pokrovske direction, while in the Kursk region they are maintaining the defined lines.

This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in a video address, Ukrinform reports.

‘There was a report today by Chief Commander Syrskyi. Especially the Pokrovske direction. We are adding our forces, and the key task is to knock out as many occupier forces as possible. There is also an operation in the Kursk region. We are maintaining the defined lines and proving to the world every day of the Kursk operation that Russia can lose this war. And the only thing that is needed for this is our sufficient determination, the determination of everyone in the world on whom the state of affairs in the world depends. It is not for Moscow to determine the future of our people. And this is how it should always be,’ Zelenskyy said.

So far, the total combat losses of Russian troops since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine on 24 February 2022 to 5 September 2024 are approximately 621,550 people.
