Ukrainian Women's Club Wins European Indoor Hockey Cup for the First Time

The Ukrainian women's club Sumchanka has won the European Indoor Hockey Cup for the first time, Ukrinform Sport reports.
This competition is the most prestigious club tournament in European indoor hockey. Eight champion teams from the top-rated European countries take part in it.
In the semi-finals, the Ukrainian team defeated the German club Mannheimer 3-0, and in the final they met the Dutch Stichtsche Cricket. Regular time ended in a 2-2 draw, but Sumchanka won 2-0 in the shootout.
This is the first title for the Ukrainian club at the European Club Ice Hockey Cup. Prior to that, Sumchanka's best result was silver in 2009, as well as three bronze medals.
