US Allocates Almost $1.2 Billion for Production of AMRAAM Missiles for 12 Countries in Europe and the World
The US Department of Defence has signed a $1.196 billion contract with Raytheon for the production of advanced medium-range air-to-air missiles (AMRAAM), which will be supplied to Ukraine, among other countries.
This was reported on the Pentagon's website.
The agreement provides for the production of missiles, the AMRAAM telemetry system, spare parts, and other equipment for engineering support of production.
It is noted that the work will be carried out in Tucson, Arizona, and should be completed by 31 December 2028.
‘This contract provides for foreign military sales to Bahrain, Bulgaria, Canada, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Norway, Switzerland, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom,’ the US defence department said.
As The Gaze previously reported, the United States will provide Ukraine with new financial support worth more than $700 million.
