During a meeting with an American delegation led by US Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi reported on the situation at the front and discussed strengthening Ukraine's capabilities in the areas of air defence, Deep Strike, unmanned systems, and training of Defence Forces personnel.
‘The enemy is increasing its troop concentrations, continuing its offensive operation and increasing its intensity, launching missile strikes on residential areas, causing numerous casualties among the civilian population,’ the commander-in-chief emphasised.
According to Syrsky, the parties discussed strengthening Ukraine's capabilities in the areas of air defence, Deep Strike, unmanned systems and training of Defence Forces personnel.
‘I emphasised once again that strengthening the defence of Ukrainian airspace, increasing our long-range strikes on enemy military targets, and maintaining and stabilising the front line should undermine the enemy's offensive capabilities and ultimately force them to accept a just peace,’ he said.
The Commander-in-Chief also recalled that Deep Strike operations have already proven effective in disrupting the logistics of Russian troops and neutralising their military potential. ‘Operations against oil refineries are designed to reduce the war to prospects that are disappointing for Moscow, thereby making it unprofitable for the enemy,’ Syrsky added.
