The United States has just announced the allocation of a new military aid package to Ukraine, amounting to $150 million. This information was conveyed in a statement by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

"Today, the United States is announcing a new shipment of weapons and equipment to help Ukraine succeed on the battlefield and defend its people against Russia's brutal invasion. This new package of arms and equipment includes air defences, artillery, anti-tank, and other assets that will further bolster Ukraine's ability to protect its territory from Russian aggression, as they continue their counteroffensive against Russian forces. Ukrainian forces are bravely fighting to reclaim the territory seized by Russian troops, and this additional support will help them sustain their progress," reads the statement.

This new package entails weaponry and equipment valued at $150 million, allocated in accordance with previously designated allocations for Ukraine.

"Russia initiated this war and can end it at any time by withdrawing its forces from Ukraine and ceasing its cruel attacks, which continue to claim the lives of innocent people. Until that happens, the United States and the coalition we've formed with over 50 countries will continue to support Ukraine, and we will continue to work with Congress to help Ukraine secure its future – a future where its people can recover and live securely in a stable and thriving democracy," the statement emphasizes.

Previously, Secretary of State Blinken called upon the United Nations Security Council to condemn countries that arm, finance, and train Hamas and other terrorists. He added that the United States is willing to collaborate with anyone who seeks to create a more peaceful and secure future.

Prior to this, US President Joe Biden unified Ukraine and Israel, urging Congress to demonstrate unity in providing assistance to both countries. He stressed that he would submit an urgent budget request to Congress, demanding an additional $60 billion for Ukraine and $14 billion for Israel, "alongside other national security priorities."
