Wave of Explosions Across Ukraine as Russia Unleashes New Mass Strike

On the night of October 4-5, Russia carried out another massive attack on Ukrainian territory, damaging civilian infrastructure and private homes and causing a number of civilian casualties.
The Gaze reports on it, referring to statements made by Ukrainian officials.
In Lviv, the Sparrow industrial park caught fire as a result of the strikes. According to preliminary information, there were no reported victims.
“This is a civilian facility, without any military component,” Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi said on Telegram.
Parts of the city, including Riasne and Levandivka, were left without power. In particular, damage to residential buildings was reported in the village of Lapaivka in the Lviv district.
In Zaporizhzhia, however, the attack had tragic consequences: one person was killed and nine others were injured.
According to Ivan Fedorov, Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, the occupiers carried out 702 strikes on 18 settlements in the region over the past day alone.
At least ten strikes on the city are known. As a result of the night attack, more than 73,000 households were left without electricity — about 67,000 in Zaporizhzhia itself and more than 6,000 in the Zaporizhzhia region.
“High-rise buildings and private houses were damaged, cars were burned, windows were broken, courtyards were destroyed, and there were interruptions in electricity and water supply,” Fedorov said.
At the same time, in response to Russia's attack on Ukrainian cities, Poland scrambled fighter jets on its territory as a preventive measure.
“To ensure the security of Polish airspace, the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces has initiated all necessary procedures,” the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces reported on the social media platform X. “Polish and allied aircraft are operating intensively in our airspace, and ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems have reached the highest level of readiness.”
As The Gaze informed earlier, Russian forces carried out a deadly drone strike on the railway station in the northern Ukrainian city of Shostka on Saturday, hitting a passenger train bound for Kyiv and injuring dozens of people.
