Zelenskyy Urges US, Europe to Be Resolute

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on the United States, European countries and all allies to show more determination in countering Russian aggression after another night of Russian strikes, particularly on Kharkiv.
The Gaze reports on this with reference to his post on social media X.
According to the Ukrainian leader, as a result of the night attack, at least eight Shahed kamikaze drones hit a trolleybus depot in Kharkiv. They damaged residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure.
"A typical Russian strike on ordinary civilian life. In total, Russians used 90 attack drones and 2 ballistic missiles overnight. Such strikes happen every day. The vast majority target civilian infrastructure and have no military purpose. Russia’s strategy is simply to destroy lives," Zelenskyy emphasised.
He stressed that Russia will not abandon its strategy of terror without sufficient pressure, and that talk of a pause in pressure or easing of sanctions is perceived in Moscow as a political victory.
"The world must be resolute and strong – the United States, Europe, and everyone who seeks peace. We must not bargain with the aggressor, but force it to stop the killing and restore security," the head of state said.
Against the backdrop of recent statements by the Russian Federation and its intensification of air terror against Ukraine, US President Donald Trump said he was considering imposing additional sanctions against Russia.
But Trump recently announced that he would refrain from imposing sanctions against Russia if he believed it could ‘ruin’ the conclusion of a peace ‘agreement.’
As The Gaze reported earlier, the European Union approved a new package of sanctions against Russia, the 17th in a row since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
