4 dead, 20 injured in Another Russian Terror Attack on Hospital in Ukraine
A Russian strike on a private clinic in Zaporizhzhia, southern Ukraine, killed four people and injured 20 others, including a 5-year-old girl.
This was reported on social media by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the head of Zaporizhzhia region Ivan Fedorov.
According to Fedorov, at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, the Russians struck the city centre with a ballistic missile, probably an Iskander. The occupiers destroyed a private clinic and damaged nearby high-rise buildings and cars. Currently, medics, police and rescuers are working at the site of the hit.
‘Rescuers are searching for people under the rubble of the clinic destroyed by a Russian missile. All services are working at the site of the impact,’ said Fedorov.
‘A rescue operation is currently underway in Zaporizhzhia after a Russian missile strike. It was a ballistic missile... Tragically, there are some deaths.
I have already spoken to the Commander-in-Chief about the things we need to make our cities safer. And we are speaking with all our partners about additional air defense systems. We don't have enough systems now to protect our country from Russian missiles. But our partners do have these systems. We repeat, again and again, that air defense systems should save lives, not collect dust in storage bases,’ Zelenskyy said.
He added that he is now preparing a schedule of meetings and talks for this month, ‘to do as much as possible’.
