Several high-rise buildings and a school were damaged. The children were in a protective building and are now being evacuated, all alive and well.
Rescuers are currently working to eliminate the consequences and extinguish the fires.
Local journalists note that there was no air raid alert in Sumy at the time of the hit.
Windows in residential buildings and a school were smashed, roofs and walls were damaged after the Russian strike.
As The Gaze reported, in early March, the town of Kryvyi Rih in Ukraine was hit by a missile attack from the Russian army. A hotel where volunteers from a humanitarian organisation - citizens of Ukraine, the United States and the United Kingdom - had checked in the day before was damaged.
