Ahead of Putin Call: Trump Claims ‘Many Elements' of Peace Deal Agreed

Before his phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, US President Donald Trump said that ‘many elements’ of a peace deal in Russia's war against Ukraine have already been agreed upon. He wrote about this on Truth Social, according to the BBC.
Trump reminded that his conversation with Putin is scheduled for Tuesday, 18 March, and stressed that he was ‘looking forward’ to it.
‘Many elements of a final agreement have been agreed to, but much remains,’ the US president said.
He reiterated that ‘thousands of young soldiers and others being killed’ and ‘it must end NOW’.
Trump intends to discuss ending the war in Ukraine with Putin. The White House says that the US president is ‘determined’ to reach an agreement to end Russia's war against Ukraine, and that the world got closer to such a peace.
As The Gaze reported earlier, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that the US has a plan A and a plan B to end Russia's war against Ukraine. Plan A is a ceasefire so that they can move on to Plan B, the second stage, which is to bring everyone to the negotiating table.
