Albania Becomes 13th Country to Join UK Training Programme for Ukrainian Troops

Albania has become the thirteenth country to join the Interflex programme to train Ukrainian military personnel in the UK, the UK Ministry of Defence has announced.
The British Ministry of Defence announced the expansion of the Interflex programme with another participating country, Albania.
It joined the initiative along with the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, the Netherlands, Estonia, Lithuania, Romania, and partially recognised Kosovo.
‘The United Kingdom and partner nations will continue to support Ukraine for as long as it takes,’ the statement said.
Earlier, London confirmed its intention to continue the Interflex operation to train Ukrainian servicemen on its territory throughout 2025, regardless of the development of hostilities.
As of November 2024, about 50,000 Ukrainian servicemen have been trained under the programme.
According to The Gaze, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will present a plan to deploy up to 30,000 European troops to Ukraine to US President Donald Trump.
