Ukraine Defeats Albania in UEFA Nations League and Enters Playoffs
The players of the national team of Ukraine played the final, sixth match in the UEFA Nations League. They defeated Albania 2-1 in Tirana, Ukrinform Sport reports.
Oleksandr Zinchenko opened the scoring in the 5th minute, Roman Yaremchuk (10) doubled the visitors' advantage. The hosts reduced the deficit in the 75th minute - Nedim Bayrami converted a penalty.
In another match of Group B1, the Czech national team defeated their rivals from Georgia 2-1.
Final standings: Czech Republic - 11 points, Ukraine - 8, Georgia - 7, Albania - 7.
The Ukrainian team retained its place in League B and will play in the playoffs for promotion to League A in the spring.
The Czech national team was promoted directly to League A. Albania was relegated and will play in League C in the next UEFA Nations League draw.
