Czechia Draws With Ukraine in Nations League, Tops Group B1
The Ukrainian national football team drew for the first time in the Nations League 2024/25. In a nominally home match, the Ukrainians and Czechs did not find a winner (1-1).

Ukraine started the new season with two defeats: from Albania (1-2) and the Czech Republic (2-3). After that, Serhii Rebrov's team won their first victory in the League of Nations against Georgia (1-0). In the fourth round, Ukraine's opponent was the Czech Republic, which ranked second in the group with six points.

In the 18th minute, after a Czech team corner kick, the ball flew to Lukas Cerv, who scored with a long-range shot into the bottom left corner of Anatoliy Trubin's goal - 0-1 in favour of the Czechs.
Before the half-time whistle, Martin Vítík successfully finished off Trubin's save and scored Ukraine's second goal. However, after reviewing VAR, the referee cancelled the goal.
In the 51st minute, Czech defender Ladislav Krejci played with his hand in his own penalty area and earned a penalty kick in his own goal. Artem Dovbyk converted the 11-metre shot to make it 1-1.
After the match with the Czechs, the Ukrainians are in last, fourth place in the group. For them, this is the first draw in the 2024/25 Nations League.
The Czech national team came out on top with seven points.

Czech Republic - 7 points;
Georgia - 6;
Albania - 6;
Ukraine - 4.
The first team in the group is promoted to the top division, while the last team is relegated to Division C. The second and third teams will play in the playoffs for promotion and relegation, respectively.
