The German government announced yesterday that it is sending a new package of military aid to Ukraine, which includes drones, artillery shells, and demining vehicles, the government website reports.

For security reasons, the federal government is refraining from providing details on the means of transport and dates until the aid is delivered.

According to the list, Ukraine has recently received 14,000 rounds of 155 mm ammunition from Bundeswehr stockpiles and produced at German factories, as well as four WISENT 1 demining vehicles.

The assistance is funded by the Federal Government's security capacity building funds.

In addition, Germany has donated three mobile, remotely operated and protected demining systems, explosive ordnance disposal equipment and 250 tool kits with explosive materials.

It also includes the transfer of 10 Vector reconnaissance drones with spare parts, 22 anti-drone sensors and jammers, 12 satellite communication terminals, and four border guard vehicles.

The German government has also updated the list of assistance it plans to provide to Ukraine in the future.

The list includes 10 additional Bergepanzer 2 armoured repair and recovery vehicles and 20 anti-drone sensor and jammer systems.

Earlier, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said during Volodymyr Zelenskyy's visit to Berlin that Germany was preparing to provide Ukraine with a new military aid package totalling €1.1 billion.

As part of the G7 declaration, Ukraine and Germany signed a security cooperation pact.

So far, Germany has allocated or committed €28 billion in military aid to Ukraine. Of this amount, €7 billion will be disbursed through 2024. Germany is the second largest provider of military assistance to Ukraine.
