For the first time in Ukraine, Ukrposhta has introduced an electronic postage stamp. Such stamps are already successfully operating in the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany, and Ireland. Now, Ukraine will join them by launching a new digital service for registered letters. The service allows users to order, download and print an electronic stamp on a regular printer.

The new digital service will speed up and improve the postal service: now the sender does not need to come to an Ukrposhta branch to buy stamps and spend time on processing the items. In addition, the delivery control of such letters will improve.

The electronic stamp allows you to track all shipment operations online, display the status and history of the shipment in the user's Personal Account, and reduce the cost of using postage stamps and preparing letters.

The service will be useful for large government agencies, lawyers and notaries who send large volumes of correspondence.

The electronic stamp is currently available for registered letters. Starting in 2024, it will also be used to send simple letters.

Both existing and new Ukrposhta customers can generate an electronic postage stamp and pay for it online in their Personal Account on the Ukrposhta website. There you need to create a letter and pay for the cost of postage using a bank card.

Corporate customers have the option to pay for registered letters created by prepayment.

For customers who order stamps under contracts, it will be possible to pay for postal services on a pay-as-you-go basis rather than by subscription.

Ukrposhta delivers more than 2 million registered letters a month and about 400,000 ordinary letters.

"Previously, each of our customers could watch one person standing at the window with a bundle of letters for a long time, while the operator conscientiously stuck a number of stamps on one envelope, the cost of which should correspond to the weight of the shipment. This is now a thing of the past. All such letters can be issued online in the Personal Account, and you can print a unique stamp right at home or in the office and continue to track all operations on your shipments on the website or in the mobile application. This is another very important step towards our changes in the digitalisation of processes, which will definitely be felt by our customers," said Igor Smelyansky, CEO of Ukrposhta.

Everyone's favourite artistic paper stamps remain available for use and collection.
