American billionaire Elon Musk has pledged $1 million to create murals depicting murdered Ukrainian woman Iryna Zarutska in cities across the United States.

The Gaze reports on it, referring to a post by Elon Musk on the social media platform X.

Musk announced this in response to an initiative by Eoghan McCabe, CEO of the American technology company Intercom.

McCabe proposed creating large wall images of Iryna Zarutska in well-known cities across the United States.

“I am offering $500k in $10k grants to paint murals of the face of Iryna Zarutska in prominent US city locations,” he wrote.

He also provided contacts for those wishing to join the initiative and called for the invitation to participate to be shared.

In response to this initiative, Musk declared, “I will contribute $1 million,” confirming his willingness to support the art project and honor the memory of the deceased Ukrainian woman through public space.

It is worth recalling that US President Donald Trump reacted to the attack on a Ukrainian woman who came to the US fleeing the war in Ukraine and was killed in the subway in Charlotte, North Carolina.

“I have seen the horrific video of a beautiful, young Ukrainian refugee who came to America to escape the vicious War in Ukraine, and was innocently riding the Metro in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she was brutally ambushed by a mentally deranged criminal,” Trump wrote.

The tragedy occurred at the end of August at the East/West Boulevard station in Charlotte, where the Ukrainian woman was found with multiple stab wounds. The attack was carried out by 34-year-old homeless man Dekarlos Brown, who had previously been arrested several times for theft, robbery, and threats.

Trump emphasized that the attacker was a repeat offender who had been arrested by the police several times before and released on bail, and accused Democrats of allowing such people to remain free. He called for stronger law and order in every state, emphasizing the role of Republicans in ensuring the safety of citizens.
